Dear Christine & Bill, first of all, a warm greeting and a hug, already having desire to regain your sympathy and friendship.STEP RIGHT IN.Thursday, I went to the meeting at the civil engineering of Arezzo, as you know, for that matter. It didn't go very well and now I will explain why. But in the meantime with Raphael decided to resume the work, we cannot do the ceiling for the new premises until further meeting with civil engineering but we have much to do and so this week the site reopens. In civil engineering, with good reason, fail to accept To) that we we demolish a portion of Central wall in brick (to let the fourth machine) and replace with the column of reinforced concrete. B) that the terrace is very large (five feet) and that's too long around the House. For the width of five feet at the end can go, for there is some problem as I say below. We looked for solutions that can fit them and under we will explain. To) regarding the first point (garage) are not willing to cede, indeed they would be very happy if the Central brick wall we will shut them down more, almost everything, because this would give strength to the House. So I think there are two possibilities:1) LEAVE the GARAGE and ENTRY DOORS AS THEY are putting the four cars as they are drawn in 1 sheet that you send out. We took measurements with Raphael and saw that the machine, although it has more difficulty entering has more mass as space in design than in the reverse direction.2) OPEN TWO NEW DOORS to NINE FEET on the RIGHT SIDE and close the TWO CURRENT leaving only a small door for the passage of a person (4 feet). Also close the Central wall always leaving a communication port, as in design 2a (plant), 2b (front Elevation) and 2 c (side Elevation)B) For the Sun say that there are problems along the whole stretch in which we will implement the new attic while they see in the most dangerous area where already there are two rooms, the Bill, front, but especially that of the back. We will be able to save the whole terrace as we agreed, if we ever need to give up that piece behind, as it was in the project where there was the new scale. Here we will decide according to what we can get.The floor should not be too heavy and thus nothing but steel rebar or even better wood. How about if the attic above the garage, and the Sun, seen from below, were made of wood?Returning to the garage, I understand that you fine as agreed and as we designed it that way but do not accept it, and then we stop and delay the work. Therefore you will give me your favorite between the two projects described above, or leave the doors as now but don't tear down the wall, or have two doors on the side and close the current. To make glad Bill though I promise you we will make another "garage" in the cellar under the kitchen and living room, as he had requested (I designed it on Folio 2a).BUT I HAVE TO RESPOND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. NOW, anything that DOES NOT INVOLVE NEW COSTS BUT RATHER SOME LESS SPENDING, especially the SOLUTION 1.Thanks and a hug, claudio

Dear Christine and Bill, first of all a warm greeting and a hug, already having a desire to soon find your sympathy and friendship.
STEP STRAIGHT TO WORK.
Thursday I went to the meeting at the Civil Engineers of Arezzo, as you know, for the seismic issue .
It did not go very well and now I will explain why. But in the meantime with Raphael we decided to resume work, we can not do the floor for the new premises until further meeting with the Civil Engineers but we have much to do and so this week the site reopens.
On Civil Engineers, with good reason , they can not accept
A) we demolish part of the wall in the central brick (to let in the fourth machine) and replace it with the column of reinforced concrete.
B) that the terrace is very large (five feet) and is too long around the house. For the width of five feet at the end can go to the length there is any problem as I say below. We looked for solutions that go well with them and I'll explain below. A) With regard to the first point (garage ) I am not willing to give in, even they would be very happy if the central wall of brick we chiudessimo more, almost everything, because that would give force to the house. So I think there are two possibilities: 1) AND LEAVE THE GARAGE DOOR ENTRY AS IS putting the four cars as they are drawn in the sheet 1 that you send out. We took measures with Raphael and we saw the car, even if it has more difficulty entering has more space as set in the plan that is not in the direction of the direction of travel. 2) OPEN TWO NEW DOORS OF NINE FEET ON THE SIDE AND RIGHT CLOSE THE TWO CURRENT leaving only a small door for the passage of a person (4 feet at the most). Close also the central wall always leaving a communication port, as in the second design (plant), 2b (Prospectus front) and 2c (Prospectus right side) B) For the terrace we say that there are problems along the entire stretch in which we build the new floor as they see most dangerous in the area where already there are the two bedrooms, the Bill before, but above all that behind. We'll be able to save the whole terrace as we agreed, if there ever would force to give up that piece behind, as was the project where there was the new scale. Here we will have to decide for ourselves according to what we can get. The floor should not be too heavy, and nothing concrete or steel but even better wood. How about if the attic above the garage and terrace, seen from below, were wood? Going back to the garage, I understand that you was fine as was agreed and as we had designed it that way and therefore we do not accept it we stop and delay the work. It is therefore necessary that you give me your favorite between the two projects described above, or leave the doors as now but not tear down the wall, or do two doors on the side and close the current. To make Bill happy, however, I promise that we will do another "garage" in the cellar under the kitchen and living room, as he had requested (I drew the sheet 2a). BUT 'MI MUST RESPOND ASAP. NOW, PRECISE THAT EVERYTHING 'DOES NOT NEW CHARGES BUT RATHER SOME SPENDING LESS, ESPECIALLY THE SOLUTION 1. Thanks and a hug, claudio
