CHURCH OF SANTA MARIA (CASALINO)
The community of Casalino has been known since the XI century. In this period was part of the community of Moggiona under the jurisdiction of the Bishopric Aretino. In 1137, with a donation, Geigy the Camaldolese monks, who also erected a small oratory, later turned into a church.The current building dates from the seventeenth century and preserves some works of art including a ciborium sixteenth century Della Robbia school. Near the church was founded in 1888 a religious institute under the title of Sisters Franciscan tertiary of St Elizabeth of Hungary. The remains of the foundress, Sister Francesca Casci, operating for assistance in hospitals,Nursing homes and orphanages, were translated in 1848 in the chapel of the Institute.
